FAQ

Do you make the needlepoints?

No, I am always on the hunt for vintage needlepoints when I shop antique stores, flea markets, thrift stores. I only repair the needlepoints that I find.

Do you do special orders?

I am not a bespoke business. I do not do custom orders, custom requests, or create using your supplies. I offer my own inventory only. Each pillow, tuffet, and slip is one-of-a-kind and will not be reproduced. Thank you for your understanding.

Will you make a pillow from my  needlepoint?

No. That is not my business model.

Will you buy my old needlepoints?

No. Due to my impending retirement, I am no longer buying needlepoints.

Are the needlepoints clean?

Yes, they are as clean as I possibly can get them through hand washing with LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner®, a safe, naturally gentle, biodegradable soap. LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner® contains no harsh detergents, ammonia, or bleach. I also disinfect the needlepoints with an alcohol based disinfectant. I cannot, however, guarantee they are allergy-free.

May I clean my pillow , tuffet, or pillow slip?

Because of the nature of vintage needlepoint, I recommend you use great care to keep them clean. You may spot clean them by using a spot-free cleaning solution on the silk and fabric sections and a wool spot cleaner on the needlepoint. Be warned, though, that vintage colored wool used in the needlepoint are not stable and may bleed. Some of the silks may not be color fast. The pillows, tuffets, and pillow slips are not washable by hand or by machine. Pillow slips may be cleaned by a reputable dry-cleaners.

When will my purchase arrive?

Pillows and slips purchased throughout the week are shipped the following Monday morning. I ship USPS Parcel Post so you should receive your pillows on Friday. If you are needing a pillow sooner, please contact us and I  will arrange for USPS Priority. Of course, USPS International will take a bit longer.

Are the feather inserts included?

No, they are not. Feather inserts are usually easy to find locally. If you wish to buy online, a good source is OnlineFabricStore.net. Amazon and eBay are also good sources.

Do you wholesale?

No. Thank you for asking, though.

Do you have a catalog?

No. The needlepoints are all vintage, purchased on the secondary market, making them one-of-a-kind. The pumpkins, pillows, tuffets, and slips sell rather quickly and cannot be easily reproduced. Thus, making a catalog out-of-date almost immediately.

Do you do needlepoint finishing?

I am in awe of needlepoint finishers. While I treat my vintage needlepoints with the utmost respect, I only make pillows, tuffets, slips, and pumpkins. Finishers can do so much more and with far greater talent. There are many well-trained finishers available on the internet and one locally that I can recommend.

Do you have a store?

While it would be great fun to work in a store filled with needlepoint pillows, this is an internet business only.
